As of April 15, 2015, I decided to take time off from the working world to explore the *actual* world. I quit my job, rented my house, and began to live as as a modern day nomad...
Having visited over 40 countries in my lifetime, I am an experienced traveler. As you can see in the pictures below, I use a variety of transportation methods. I have traveled by 4-wheel-drive truck across Bolivia, by motorcycle in Vietnam, by cargo ship in Chile, by 6-passenger plane in Nicaragua, by boots and crampons in Patagonia, and by roller-blades in Buenos Aires.
I am certified with U.S. Sailing as a Bareboat and Coastal Skipper. Sailing is my passion, and I try to incorporate sailing as unique way to explore this amazing planet. Most recently, I sailed a 50-foot sailboat from New Zealand to Fiji and back again.
I've set up this website to record my journey. I have incorporated a map to track my course, a journal to report my activities, and a gallery to share photos and videos. I'm also building out a "resources" section where I will share information about my recommended gear, useful websites, etc. You can also find my CV / Resume in the "About Me" section. Please leave comments, suggestions, and/or travel tips. I'd love to hear from you!
Hope you enjoy exploring with me!
Here's a song that inspires me to appreciate what I have and to pursue what makes me happy.
